Disney Connected Learning
Overview
The Disney Connected Learning platform provided parents with an active role in their kids’ gaming education. Designed for Disney Interactive, Disney Connected Learning included educational curriculum in Science, Mathematics, Language Arts, Music, Social Studies, Art, Digital Play, and Preschool for Pre-K through 5th grade. TAA oversaw the creation of the Disney Connected Learning Platform, the Disney Parent App for Facebook, several educational mini-games inside Club Penguin, a mobile version of Club Penguin, and several other educational games for iPhones and iPads. The primary challenge for TAA was to create game experiences that children would find genuinely entertaining that were built on legitimate learning goals while simultaneously providing the infrastructure, programming environments and platforms for empowering parents to connect with their children who are living very different lives surrounded by digital devices and experiences.
